welcome to the NCCS Cultural spotlight blog. This new feature to the NCCS webpage will allow for community members who have a passion for the arts to have an open forum. You may share your views on the state of cultural enrichment in Newaygo county, the state of Michigan, or broader. As the director of this program I will update this site as often as I can, answer any questions you may have, and give calendar dates of up-coming events. If you are a supporter of the arts, please join in the conversation. As the arts receive annual cutbacks from school budgets, the NCCS programming becomes even more vital to the well-rounded growth of our students. Your support is needed to continue the quality programming that has been so successful over the years.

Upcoming cultural events:

Sunday, November 9th. The NCCS is proud to present the "Birthday Concert Series" concert. This annual event celebrates the birthday of a historical music figure. This years concert will feature the music of Leroy Anderson and will showcase some of the areas finest talent. Leroy Anderson is famous for his Christmas music and this will be the theme for the show. The concert will begin at 3:00 p.m. at the NCCS auditorum. This is a free concert and is open to the public. Cake and light refreshments will be served after the concert. I will give more information as the date approaches.
