The event runs from the Croton Dam to the Hardy Dam, giving it its name; “Dam to Dam.” The proceeds from the event benefit NCCS Big Brothers Big Sisters of Newaygo County, helping to match adult mentors, or “Bigs”, with children in need, or “Littles”. This event is sponsored by the Croton Bay Trading Post, Croton American Legion, Hilltop Shopping Center at Hardy Dam, Leinenkugel Beer, Wisner Canoes, She’s So Fly, Mount-n-Men Taxidermy, Freeze Frame Publishing, Jon Bumstead for State Representative, Anderson’s Silk Screening, the Michigan Angler’s Association, the Driftwood Bar and Grill, Gene’s Family Market, Pangburn Properties, Inc., and 97 LAV-FM, Classic Rock.
