Family Support Services
Client Advocacy, Counseling and Referral – Provides individualized case management dedicated to helping Newaygo, Lake, Mason, Oceana, and Muskegon County residents in need of emergency services and on-going services.  Case Managers work with clients so that they can access the community services and assistance they need to enhance their life skills and attain self-sufficiency.   In addition, NCCS will assist with other special needs, which may include but are not limited to eyeglasses, orthodontics, and funeral expenses.
 
Family Emergency Needs – Clients in Newaygo and Lake Counties can receive emergency services such as utility and water bill assistance as well as advocacy for any other additional emergency needs.
 
Life Skills and Self-Sufficiency – Clients in Newaygo, Lake, Mason and Oceana Counties are provided with information to enhance and recognize their life skills to increase their self-sufficiency so ensure their success.
 
LifeLink – Enables homebound, medically frail, elderly and/or disabled residents of Newaygo County and surrounding areas to live with independence and a feeling of security in their own homes, through the Critical Signal Technologies personal emergency response equipment.
 
MedReady – Provides automatic medication dispensing units for residents of Newaygo County and surrounding areas with medication management needs.
 
Student Loans – Offers low interest loans for any accredited college, university or trade school are available to Newaygo County residents with limited financial aid resources.
 
Project Literacy – Offers services to those Newaygo County adults who face challenges related to reading skills. Volunteer tutors provide individual assistance through an organized curriculum to promote improved reading ability to community members.
