NCCS Homeless Prevention programs and services strive to keep area residents in safe and affordable housing, while working with those in need towards self-sufficiency.

Heat and Energy Assistance – Assists low-income households with heat or utility bills to prevent shut-offs and provides fuel fills for 30 days.
Shelter and Housing Assistance – Offers assistance with rent or shelter payments to prevent homelessness by allowing families to remain in current housing or to acquire safer, more affordable housing.
Rural Homeless Housing Initiative – Provides emergency shelter for homeless persons for up to 90 days.
Homeless Shelters – Emergency shelter for homeless families and individuals.
Homeless Awareness Initiatives – A homeless awareness campaign designed to educate the community about the issue of rural homelessness in Newaygo County.
Homeowner Repair – Helps with the cost of materials and/or labor for necessary home repairs for low-income Newaygo County homeowners.
Emergency Fire Assistance – Helps people recover from fire damage with vouchers for rent, food and/or clothing.
Landlord / Tenant Advocacy – Education and awareness regarding landlord and tenant issues.
