NCCS Big Brothers Big Sisters

Bigs and Littles have fun together and create memories that last a lifetime.   We call it “Little moments. Big magic.”

Big Brothers Big Sisters’ vision is to provide a mentor for every child who needs or wants one. NCCS Big Brothers Big Sisters focuses on serving children, ages 5-15, who live or go to school in Newaygo and Lake Counties in the State of Michigan.

The NCCS Big Brothers Big Sisters program offers a variety of programs to fit into both a Big’s and Little’s life.
  • Community-Based Mentoring – Matches a youth, age 5-15, with a caring adult volunteer through a traditional one-to-one match. Activities can include going fishing, playing games, going to a park, art class, movies, or any other approved activity.
  • Site-Based Mentoring – Matches youth, ages 5-15, with a caring adult volunteer. Activities are conducted at predetermined locations, such as a    faith-based, business, or community organization.
  • High Fives – Allows high school students to be Bigs mentors for younger students within the school system, as an extension of site-based mentoring.
