Compassion compels staff, volunteers and supporters to help others in need and gives them the knowledge that through their good works, good things happen. Compassion fuels the NCCS’ mission to serve as “the communities’ crossroads where caring people come together to restore, reshape and enrich lives” and gives flight to our dreams.

Vision is having foresight to anticipate needs and provide solutions that not only address current issues but also anticipate our growing and ever-changing communities. Under a wide-arching umbrella, NCCS will continue to build and mobilize area resources to help meet basic human needs, nurture children and youth, strengthen families, increase self-sufficiency, encourage citizen involvement, and enrich lives with the arts.

Experience only comes with time and effort. NCCS is a 38 year leader of inter-agency cooperation among area human service providers, and of creating new partnerships and enhancing existing ones. NCCS has a proven track record of providing diverse programs that address the basic needs and improve the quality of life for area residents. Our years of experience have taught us to tailor our programs and services to meet specific needs and to avoid duplication.
